~ Things Of The Ocean ~

Waves rush in, tide flows out.
Sea trout swim, pelicans fly about.

Puffins diving, dolphins gliding.
Sea lions roaring, fishermen trolling.

Albatross skimming, sharks swimming.
Sand wet and damp, hurricane lamps.

Sand Pipers run along the beach;
sea gulls scream and loudly screech.

Captain at the wheel, pirates burn and steal.
Do not provoke the larger Moray eel.

On the rocks, ships crash and then smash;
where a lighthouse does not flash.

Salty brine, sailors need lemon and limes.
On tasty turtle soup, they will dine.

Red sky at night, is a sailors delight.
Red sky in morning, sailors take warning.

Sea stars, in the tide pools lay. . . . .
wishing they could dance and play!

Fighting and brawling held at bay.
The Jolly Roger, flies today. . . . . .

The North Star points the way;
so we can sail, to Bombay!

I love the ocean, too! It's my favorite place in the world.

I tried to put a variety of things of the ocean in this one. Glad you like it.

Well after spendin a goodly portion of my military time sailing around in the Atlantic the Mediterrian and the Carribian. I got to like terra firma a whole lot better. If I had my druthers I'd be in the mountains somewhere.

Nice poem though brought back memories it did.

Sounds as thought you had more than your share of the sea, Robert. Write us a poem, about the mountains and share with us.
The mountains are a lovely place to be and would make such a great poem.
