Down by the salley gardens
my love and I did meet;
She passed the salley gardens
with little snow-white feet.
She bid me take love easy,
as the leaves grow on the tree;
But I, being young and foolish,
with her would not agree.

In a field by the river
my love and I did stand,
And on my leaning shoulder
she laid her snow-white hand.
She bid me take life easy,
as the grass grows on the weirs;
But I was young and foolish,
and now am full of tears.

Hi midnight,

I like the poem! Welcome to Publishers Database!! Do you write poems as well as read poems? If you want critiques, use the top forums. If you don't want stern critiques use the bottom "For Fun" forums.

Thank you for welcoming me to the forum! I'm glad you like the poem. I enjoy reading poetry. I tried to write poetry, but the end result was not very good. I do, however, write non-fiction. Whenever I get writer's block, I'll post the content in the forum.

I'm currently writing content for a website. Not too many problems so far. When I finish the final draft, I might post it here for a critique. Are you a writer? If so, what's your favorite genre? Again, thank you for welcoming me to the forum!

Hi again midnight,

We are no means limited to poetry here. We do poetry, fiction, art, non fiction and music too. I look forward to seeing your posts! You mentioned you like reading poetry. I know of no better way to become a poet than reading good poetry.
You ask if I'm a writer. Yes I try. I self published a book of poems and it is for sale on Amazon. Hasn't sold hardly anything, but I keep trying. I also write non-fiction. My non-fiction is in the form of childhood memoirs.
We have a limerick forum near the bottom of the forum page. Limericks are a good way to learn something about writing poetry. Look at the Limerick Challenge entry. It explains limericks and it's fun. Try some.

Maggie/Peggy

Hello Maggie -

I posted in the nonfiction workshop. If you would take a look at the excerpt, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

If you are gradually losing your weight, then you should immediately consult with doctor. This is not the normal issue and this happened because of your Harmon changes say research papers writing help. And else case can be the hidden disease which eats up you internally.
