So beautiful Gigi,

yes, we never know for sure if we will have another day or if
someone we love will either. Letting them know that we love is
such an awesome thing to do.

~ A Sea Of Sorrow ~

Your tear drops make
me feel as though you
are buried in a sea of
sorrow.

As if you cannot even
see as far as tomorrow.
Let those sorrows fade
away.

Dry your tears, for the sun
will shine for you again,
For a broken heart will
mend.

~My Valentine Angel~

You are my elegant Valentine angel,
That God sent from heaven above,
To be my one and only true love.

Love wraps us like a rainbow of ribbon.
I want to always hold you tender, and right,
All through the moon lit and starry night.

From the first glance, I was captivated by you.
I sing to you the melody in my heart,
I fell so in love with you, from the start.

You are such a stunning visual symphony.
I reach out and take your hand,
As we are transported to a magical land.

Where for lovers, it is a wonderland,
Where love's light shines so bright.
A magical land of Love's pure delight.

My adorable dreamy, Valentine angel,
Where my dreams really do come true.
For all of my dreams are about you.

Thank you, Gigi.

Don't be concerned about my writes not being voted on.
In the 2010 RR challenge, I took first place in both the poem
and story sections, in the moderators' category. I must add
that isn't saying a lot, as only 2 entered under that category.
Thank you so much for your well wishes, thought.

This being the last couple of hours for the Romance Roundup I want to share this poem written by our Administrator Wrangler Roy.
This is one of the most beautiful poems I have ever read. Hopefully Roy will be back here at PDB real soon!

Foreword: My Step dad is the biggest prankster I've ever met . . . and the greatest man I shall ever know.
I watched Mom and Pop give their Valentine gifts to each other that morning (several years ago now);
and then, when they were getting ready to go out to eat, Pop told her the most incredible thing! This verse
is the result of that special moment.

LOVE'S MIRROR

My mother pauses just a bit;
her eyes well up with tears.
She thinks she's lost her beauty
to the hardships and the years.
Recalling all the good times that
she had when just a girl,
and kept her cowboy smiling with
her laugh and auburn curls.

Her face is showing wrinkles now;
her hair has turned to gray.
She wonders where that young gal went
that she saw yesterday.
Her cowboy stood beside her then,
and held her there in place;
then gently turned her to him,
brushed the teardrops from her face.

He said, "Now let me tell you,"
as he held her even nearer,
"of all the things I see in you---
let my eyes be your mirror.
I still see the bluest skies
whenever clouds are gray;
I still see you laughing at
the heifers when they play.

"I can see the horses grazing
just below the rise;
and I still see a rainbow in
the twinkle of your eyes.
I can see the hayfields swaying
gently in the breeze;
And I can see the sunrise through
the budding maple trees.

"I still see your heartbeat that,
to me, still casts a spell;
and I can see the Love in you,
as deep as any well.
Forget about that looking-glass!
'Cause I can see much clearer.
Remember, darling wife of mine,
let my eyes be your mirror."

Wrangler Roy
