The Tumble Weed Tale

A tumble weed was rolling
Across the desert sand
Attached to it was a note
Written by a ladies hand

In the note was a prayer
Wishing for her one true love
Hoping someone might find it
To be her answer from above

The note started off
"Oh dear Lord with this I pray
That you send me down someone
I can love the rest of my days

May he be handsome
With a long texas draw
May he have manners Lord
And hold me shoul I bawl"

Then she wrote "Oh Lord
It would be nice to have him to hold
On those long winter night
When temperatures start getting so cold"

I will treat him kind oh Lord
With respect and lots of love
The same kind you've given me
From up there so far above

Well I'm going to end this note
In the morning I'll send it on its way
I pray you send him soon dear Lord
For already starting to get grey"

As the tumble weed was rolling
Out across that desert land
A little boy spotted it
And chased after across the sand

Once he caught up with it
He could not make out what she wrote
So he took over to his pa to read
He begin to smile as he read the note

He said "Son this lady is looking
For someone to hold on to
So let's go for a advinture ride
How about that just me and you"

The boy said "Pa that might be so bad
Maybe we can find this lady's home
Maybe you two can get together
And we'll never no more roam

As they sat out towards the west
Where the tumble weed came from as well
It was two hours later they spotted her home
As they rode up she said well come in and sit a spell

They got to talking and hit it right off
Now they laugh about the tumble weeds
How everything worked out for them so well
And how that note was a piece of loves seeds

I didn't say I knew it all
I just said I know those that
