Hi Everyone,
I hope this finds everyone well. I am slowly recovering from my brother Rafa's death last August 31st, 2015, I am sorry to report. It was sort of a shock to me and it has taken me awhile to come to terms with it. Stephanie, my sister wanted me to go to California with her and I just couldn't make that trip with her. She likes to go non-stop and I can't do that kind of traveling any more. But I gave her 300 dollars and told her not to spend it all at once on the trip and she thanked me and was on her way. I figure I got off easy. The story about Rafa was that he had served 6 months of his last 2 1/2 year tour in the Service (US Army) overseas in Viet Nam. And, as they were using Agent Orange as a defoliant, everyone there was exposed to it. Rafa was exposed as well and his bones had started to become brittle. Evidently, they had become weak. Anyway, the VA wanted him to stay in the VA hospital to the very end and he didn't want to, understandably. They never let you get any rest there! Anyway, he got his affairs in order and passed away peacefully. He was only 72. I miss him a lot. He had posted a few things here, also.

Thank you, Peggy. It's been hard not to be able to talk to him every day. I miss him and there is no one to take his place. There are friends, of course, but no one can really stand in his place. He was one of a kind, well loved by many and hopefully at peace and at rest. Thank you for your condolences. ev.
